So I have been really stressed with Paypal today. I found out that all of the money that has been given to me from the patterns I have sold has gone directly into paying transaction fees for Paypal. So I haven't made ANY money despite the dozens of people who have bought my patterns. Yes, a tad frustrating. It seems the only way to avoid this charge is for each of my customers to follow a few steps. First, each customer has to have a Paypal account (which it's free, but some people just don't want to). Second, they have to log into their account in order to pay me and pay from funds that come from a checking account or are already in the Paypal account. And third, they have to select the option that they are sending the money as a 'gift.' (I don't even know if this comes up as an option right now.)
I don't want to have to up my prices. I want to be able to sell affordable patterns and still make a profit, but every site I am working with wants a piece of that profit (which so far has left me with no profit at all). If anyone has a solution or a suggestion...please leave it below!! The only solution I see at present is to raise the price of my patterns.
I would love it if there is someone who knows a different way for me to go about this without charging my customers more.
