There is a wonderful website you should all check out. They collect donations like hats and toys to give to babies who are born premature. You can even request that they send a shipment to a hospital that is special to you!

They are called Sweet Lil' Peas and this is their website: www.sweetlilpeas.vpweb.com.

Make a Holiday Charity Project!!

Posted on November 12, 2012 at 10:40 AM Comments comments (0)

Perhaps I have gotten into the 'Christmas spirit' a little early. But if you are a craft maker you kind of have to, right? I have decided to intentionally make a few projects just so I can donate them this Christmas, and I would like to invite all who dare to join me. It doesn't matter where you live, what you donate, or who you donate it to. We all have leftover yarn stashed away and most projects only require an hour or two of your time. This is what I made from the scraps in my closet...

New Car Seat Blanket Crochet Pattern

Posted on October 11, 2012 at 9:15 AM Comments comments (8)

I've finally finished my next crochet pattern. Sorry it has taken me so long. I have been getting ready for the little baby that is almost here. I decided to make another car seat blanket. I intentionally made a simpler design, so more people will be capable of crocheting it. This pattern only uses basic beginner stitches. The texture on this blanket is really fun. So give it a try and have something ready for the the next baby shower you attend. The pattern is available by clicking the Patte...

Sorry if anyone is sitting around waiting for the next pattern to come out...cause I haven't been crocheting for a while. With it being harvesting season and me 8 months pregnant; I get pretty exhausted and rarely feel like picking up my projects at the end of the day.

I previously mentioned the potatoes that I had made into french fries and hashbrowns. Since then I have also put up onions, peppers, applesauce (which my kids love), and a trial batch of tomato sauce.

Potatoes, potatoes, potatoes...

Posted on August 7, 2012 at 2:10 PM Comments comments (0)

One of my hobbies (other than crocheting, of course) is gardening. I like both the flowers and the vegetables. We planted quite a large vegetable garden this year, and right now we are dealing with potatoes.

Potatoes often go bad at my house, if I simply try to store them. So I decided I was going to try freezing them. I had heard that ...

Starting an Etsy Shop

Posted on August 2, 2012 at 9:20 PM Comments comments (0)

I have attempted to create an Etsy shop. Either the website has issues, or I do. I can't seem to make any of it work. I only put one pattern on the site (because it was merely an attempt to see if it would work). However, I can't even find my own listing. If I can't find it...well, that is serious. How then can I expect anyone else to find it? I added an 'Etsy Store' tab on the bar above. If you know Etsy and have tips and such, feel free to look into it and see if you can tell what I did wro...

Winter Car Seat Blanket Crochet Pattern

Posted on July 27, 2012 at 2:45 PM Comments comments (0)

This is my new pattern! It turned out a lot better than I had hoped. That doesn't happen very often, so I was quite excited. It is currently being tested for errors. Don't let that keep you from buying the pattern now. If any errors are found, an update will be sent to all previous buyers. The pattern is now available on my 'Patterns' page.

Paypal Ate All of My Earnings!!

Posted on July 24, 2012 at 5:50 PM Comments comments (0)

So I have been really stressed with Paypal today. I found out that all of the money that has been given to me from the patterns I have sold has gone directly into paying transaction fees for Paypal. So I haven't made ANY money despite the dozens of people who have bought my patterns. Yes, a tad frustrating. It seems the only way to avoid this charge is for each of my customers to follow a few steps. First, each customer has to have a Paypal account (which it's free, but some ...

Wow, I have been selling my first mini pattern (the No-Sew Rose) for a week. I honestly did not expect to have much success from it. Thank you to all of my buyers and supporters. It blows me away that my first week back has been such a success.

A Little About The Family

So to re-start my blog/business, why not an introduction. So this blog is to introduce you to my little family. Our family of four (and a half, as I am pregnant) live in Utah. We belong to the LDS faith and live in a little house in the country.

This is a picture of my husband and me...

Mobile Website

Posted on January 25, 2012 at 10:50 PM Comments comments (0)

I don't think I have ever mentioned that we have a mobile website! Well, at least I think we do.  I haven't ever actually looked at it, because I haven't purchased a data plan for my cellphone. As far as I know it is the same web address. As you can easily tell, I am not very familiar with the topic.

Check it out for me. I'd like to know if it really is out there, or if there is anything I need to fix on it.

Have a fabulous week!

A Little Something I Made for Myself

Posted on January 5, 2012 at 7:35 PM Comments comments (0)

This is a hat that I've been making for myself during the past couple of days.  I really like the ribbed look. It definately gives it more of a "city girl" look. Anyway, I figured I better treat myself while I can. At least one would hope when starting a business that they will make more things for other people than for themselves. :) L...

Grand Opening!!!

Posted on December 31, 2011 at 7:10 PM Comments comments (1)

Hello everyone! I think it is only fair to warn you that I  am new to this. New to owning my own business, new to making my own website, and new to blogging. The only thing I am not new to is crocheting. I have been crocheting since I was 7 or 8 years old.

I am very open to suggestions, tips, or comments. I am also open to bartering. I want to know if you think the prices I came up with are fair (prices are listed below the picture in the Photo Gallery). As it is, I am not making ...
